FAQ

Common questions about using Raycash.

Getting started

Is my country supported? Check Supported countries. If not listed, join the waitlist on raycash.xyz.

Do I need a crypto wallet to start? No. Sign up with email or phone; a wallet is created for you. See Getting started.

How long does KYC take? Usually instant. If manual review is needed, typically within a business day.

How old do I have to be? 18+.

Money & balances

How do I add money? Via bank transfer to your IBAN, onchain USDC deposit, or from another Raycash user. See Moving money.

Why is my balance not visible on-chain? By design. Balances are FHE-encrypted. Only you can decrypt yours. See Privacy.

What currencies are supported? Your balance is held as a confidential stablecoin. Today that's cUSDC — USDC wrapped into its confidential form, backed 1:1. Inbound SEPA transfers in EUR are converted to cUSDC at receipt. Additional supported stablecoins will be added over time.

Do I earn interest on my balance? Yes. The underlying reserves earn around 4% annually; you keep ~3% and we keep 1%. See Fees & limits.

Cards

When will my physical card arrive?

Why was my card declined? The activity screen shows the decline reason — insufficient balance, limit reached, card frozen, or merchant-side issue.

How do I freeze my card? Open Cards → [your card] → Freeze. Takes effect immediately.

Can I use my card abroad? Yes. Purchases in a non-account currency incur a 1.5% FX markup — see Fees & limits.

Security & privacy

Who can see my balance? Only you. Not validators, not block explorers, not Raycash. See Privacy.

What if I lose my phone? Sign in on another device with the same login method, then revoke the lost device from Settings → Devices. See Recovery & keys.

Is Raycash insured like a bank? Raycash is not a bank. Your funds are held as onchain tokens backed by reserves held by our issuing partner.

Can Raycash freeze my account? If we're legally required to — for example, a compliance or sanctions obligation — yes. We can block new transfers into your confidential balance. We cannot block you from unwrapping and exiting to cleartext USDC — the protocol guarantees that exit is always callable. See Protocol → Hooks.

Transfers

How long do transfers take? Depends on the rail. Instant Raycash-to-Raycash, minutes for onchain, seconds-to-hours for SEPA. See Moving money.

Why is my incoming transfer pending? First-deposit anti-fraud hold or name-mismatch review. Usually clears within an hour. Contact support if it's stuck longer.

Can I cancel a transfer? Onchain transactions and Raycash-to-Raycash: no — they're final once confirmed. Outbound bank transfers: maybe, if not yet dispatched — contact support.

Account

How do I close my account? From Settings → Close account. You'll need to unwrap any remaining balance to an external wallet or bank first.

How do I export my transaction history? Settings → Export. CSV download of all activity.

Troubleshooting

App won't open / crashes on launch. Update to the latest version from the store. If it still crashes, reinstall.

KYC rejected. The app shows which step failed. Re-upload the affected document. If you're stuck, contact support.

Can't receive a transfer. Usually a name mismatch between the sender and your account holder name. Have the sender double-check the recipient name, not just the IBAN.
